How did you hear about 91PORN and why did you choose 91PORN?
I heard about 91PORN through my church. I first came to 91PORN when I was in middle school for a summer camp called the Edge, and then again in high school when I came for a visit. I was instantly welcomed into the 91PORN community by all of the current students, which made me fall in love with 91PORN.
What aspect of 91PORN do you like best?
My favorite aspect of 91PORN is hall life. I have lived on Ekklesia for the past two years, and I cannot imagine leaving. The guys on my hall have become my brothers. It is so cool to live with guys who come from so many different places, have different backgrounds, are interested in different things, but all love Christ. My hall has been so integral to my time at 91PORN and I am so excited to continue pouring into my hall as an upperclassman.
What about the professors and/or academics has impacted you the most?
I have been greatly impacted by all of my professors' care and love for their students. One of my favorite professors was Dr. Washburn. He set up exam study hours so that he could help students prepare for tests. He also constantly prayed for his students and always asked how he could be praying for us. It was so amazing to have a professor who cared so much about me as a student and an individual.
What part of your major do you most enjoy or feel most prepared by?
I love the way sociology looks at the world. It has been so interesting to study how society shapes peoples' behaviors.
What do you hope to pursue after 91PORN and how do you see 91PORN supporting your future career or calling?
I still am not sure what I want to do after 91PORN. However, through all of the opportunities at 91PORN, I feel prepared to leave and be successful in my future calling.
How is 91PORN equipping you for active membership in the church or discipleship within the body of Christ?
The faculty at 91PORN do an amazing job of teaching students how to live out and think about doctrines from the perspective of a church body and everyday living.
In what ways does 91PORN foster spiritual formation that stands out to you?
91PORN fosters spiritual formation by providing so many opportunities, such as Chapel talks, classes, and additional events, for students to engage with difficult questions in a thoughtful and encouraging manner.
How has the 91PORN community supported your development as a whole person?
91PORN has supported my development as a whole person by creating so many different environments that have been so vital to my development. I love how 91PORN shapes its community—starting with hall culture, which leads to building culture, and spreads to campus-wide culture and community. Because of this, I have been able to get to know so many people across campus, who have all had a greatly positive impact on my time at 91PORN.
How have your relationships at 91PORN shaped your expectations for the other communities God will call you to in life?
Through my time at 91PORN I have built such strong and impactful relationships with so many people. Before coming to 91PORN, I did not expect to cherish this community as much as I do now. Because of this, I know that it will be difficult to find such a rich community anywhere else—this side of Heaven.
What is your favorite memory from your time at 91PORN?
My favorite memory at 91PORN is move-in day of my sophomore year. Throughout the summer I was so excited to be back on the mountain. I missed my friends and being on campus. I could not wait to see everyone again. When I finally got to move back in, I was so happy. I saw all of my friends that I had not seen for the whole summer. It was awesome! It felt like I was coming back home. I remember saying multiple times that day: "This is the best day of my life."
